Hi everyone, Happy Wednesday To You!
Today I want to share a really fun fold card called a Twisted Easel Card. I love this card because it looks complicated but is really easy!
Here is a side view:
And a back view:
The best part with this card is that it fits in a standard A2 size envelope.
Here are the supplies I used:
Brown Card Base: 4.25 x 9.75
Brown Front Layer: 4.25 x 5.5
2 Brown Scraps: 2.5 x 3
Green Front Layer: 4 x 5.25
Green Scrap: 2 x 3
Green Greeting Layer: 1.75 x 2.5
White Inside: 4 x 5.25
White Front Layer: 3.75 x 5
White Greeting Layer: 1.5 x 2.25
Here is the how to:
Using the Cricut Trimmer, score the card base piece at 5.5 using the bone folder. You will notice there is a long side (left) and a short side (right). On the right shorter side you want to score from the top left of the score mark to the bottom right corner. Crease all score marks with bone folder and set aside. See diagram below.
Using the large cup from the Cuppa Cuppa Stamp Set, stamp with brown ink on the two brown scraps. Cut these pieces out. Do the same with the green scrap with the coffee sleeve image using green ink, again cut these pieces out.
On the white front layer (3.75 x 5), stamp the coffee bean with brown ink to create a pattern. Be sure to rotate the stamp, set aside. Using the Art Glitter Glue, adhere the green sleeves to each of the coffee cups as shown on card above.
Adhere the white stamped layer to the green front layer piece. Then adhere to brown front layer piece.
With the card base, once scored, rotate it so the folded diagonal piece is on the left, with the diagonal going up. See diagram below.
Fold in half on the score mark and apply Art Glitter Glue to the bottom triangle. See diagram below.
Take the card front and line up the the left folded side of card base and bottom of card base. Apply foam squares to the backs of the coffee cups. Adhere to card front. Adhere the white (4 x 5.25) to inside of card. Using green ink, stamp the “Let’s share a cuppa cuppa” greeting on the small white greeting layer on an angle towards the left. Using the brown ink, stamp the “on me” below the greeting towards the bottom right. Adhere this to the green greeting layer. Apply foam squares to back. Lift the easel part of the card up, and place the greeting layer on the inside white so it holds up the card front.
Mono eraser is used if you are like me and create ink smudges
Hope all of you have a Wonderful Wednesday.
