Hi everyone Happy Sunday to You!
Today, I am excited to announce that we are starting a new series using the Cricut Simple Everyday Cards Cartridge. As you probably have guessed, this series will be all about making cards. All the cards have coordinating envelopes and they are all sized at A2, which is the standard size for cards.
Every Sunday (for the next 5 weeks) I will be posting two blog posts which will have a coordinating how to video on my Youtube Channel and on the Cart Series page of this blog. This is a fun cartridge, and we will explore a variety of everyday occasion cards.
While this cartridge does have 50 cards on it, I will only be sharing 20 of them. This series will run from today (April 9, 2017 through May 7, 2017)
Let’s have a look at cards 1 and 2
For the first two cards, I have decided to make birthday cards for the little ones. The pink paper behind the yellow girl, is just standard pink cardstock. I added a little bit of Wink Of Stella to it to add some sparkle. The dinosaur card is my favorite and perfect for any dinosaur lover. I created the splotchy look by using printer paper.
Cards 3 and 4
I think we all can use some thank you cards. I really love the script style font for the word thank. I used thin vellum behind the cut out piece for this card, than backed it with a lighter color blue. It gives the effect of glass. The teacher card, I left pretty simple. On the card I show in the video, I talked about how you can take a black marker to trace around the font, this way it would be more defined.
You can see the playlist for this series on my Youtube Channel. Also, on my blog here, you can go to the Simple Everyday Cards page, and see a thumbnail of each card along with the video links.
Note: This series is using the Cricut Explore Machine with the Design Space Software and the Cricut Access Plan.
Hope you all have a Super Sunday. Hugs, Stacy ♥
