Hi Everyone Happy Friday To You!
Today we are making distressed mason jars using chalk paint.
Here is the original pin:
Here is how mine turned out:
I absolutely love them. The brand we used is called Valspar Chalky Paint that we got from Lowes. The color is Sonoma. I had them match it to Pioneer Woman bowls I had.
I am fairly new to this whole chalk paint thing. But I wanted to try it after seeing so many cool projects done using this technique. So the first time we tried it, of course we had to go big and do furniture.
We have this hutch that has been in my husband’s family for many years, but was in REALLY bad shape. So we chalk painted it. It turned out so good, so much better than we thought it would. (I think I just rhymed 🙂 )
Next on my to do list for chalk painting is our bedroom furniture. Again, really old and in really bad shape.
NOTE: If you are going to use this technique on furniture, I recommend sealing it so it can be cleaned. We did seal the hutch using the Wax Sealer which was recommend by Lowes. I did not seal the jars, as these are just accent pieces!
Here is the before and after of the hutch:
Hope all of you have a Fabulous Friday! Hugs, Stacy ♥
