Hi Everyone Happy Tuesday To You!
Today’s project does require the help of a grown-up!
We are making really cool race cars out of toilet paper tubes.
Aren’t these fun? I remember my son making these when he was little. You will need a bamboo skewer (2 cut at about 3 inches), 4 bottle caps, toilet paper tube, scissors, hole punch and hot glue (this is where the grown up comes in)
First, paint the tube. Using a hole punch, punch 2 holes at each end of the tube. Make sure the holes are not even side by side, you want them to be about 1.5 inches apart, otherwise the wheels won’t touch the ground. Insert the skewer through the holes and secure the bottle cap with hot glue. Cut a small hole at the top and you are off to the races.
Other ideas for this project. You can use a paper towel tube (for a limo), spaghetti boxes, etc. How about using milk caps for the back tires, and smaller soda or water bottle caps on the front. That can be sort of like a drag racing car.
Hope you all have a Tremendous Tuesday. Hugs, Stacy ♥
