Hi Everyone Happy Saturday To You!
For our “seasonal” project today, we are going with summer & patriotic. We are making a Clay Pot Solar Light Holder using a fun water marbling technique.
I absolutely love how this turned out. I learned this technique from Cindy at Mimi’s Mixed Bag. I think I am slightly addicted to this and might possibly water marble everything in the house 🙂
I used a 6 inch clay pot, and found the cute solar lights at the dollar general for only $1.00
The first thing I did was use white spray paint on the pot to act as the base coat. Once that was dry, I filled an old trash can with water about 2-3 inches from the top. I then used red spray paint and squirted that into the water until it separated a little bit, then dipped the pot into it. Easy Peasy Right.
I finished it off by painting the rim of the pot a dark blue color, added some star stickers and tied red & white ribbon into a bow.
If you don’t want to use a light, you can certainly put a plant in it. I think either way, it is really pretty.
I hope all of you have a Super Saturday. Hugs, Stacy ♥
