Hi everyone Happy Tuesday To You!
Today, the little ones can make a super easy and cute flower pot for dad!
Isn’t this cute? And so easy!
Take a regular styrofoam cup and have the little ones paint it any color they want. (they can also use markers, crayons, stickers etc). Fill the cup with something that will hold popsicle sticks (I used the jumbo ones and moon sand to fill my cup) You can use dirt, sand, rocks, rice etc. You can find the video for making your own moon sand here. (be warned, it is a lot of fun)
Take two popsicle sticks and paint them green. I used regular acrylic paint for both the cup and the sticks, but again, they can use whatever they like.
This is where mom comes in, you will need two cupcake liners, I used a mini and a regular. Then you need some photos of the little one and of dad. (or you can find one picture of the two of them together and have it be just one flower)
I used circle punches to cut the circles, but you can always draw a circle and have them cut it out, it does not need to be perfect! Glue the picture to the cupcake liner, and have them cut along the ripples of the liner to form petals. Then stick it inside the cup. They can also use construction paper to cut leaves for the stem.
I took a piece of cardstock (again construction paper is fine here) and wrote “You are my best bud” and glued that to the top of the cup, and finished it off by adding some rafia, (you can use any string you like, even a shoe string)
How cute would this be sitting on dad’s nightstand or even on his desk at work?
Hope you all have a Terrific Tuesday. Hugs, Stacy ♥
